Duct Tape IPod Pouch

Ducktivity provided by GryffindorGirl07

I made this when I didn't have a case and I was worried my Ipod would get scratches. You can use one colour only or you can use patterns. Whatever you like! You may also cover it with clear tape to make it stronger and shiny. i used an elastic band to keep the flap in place so my IPod wouldn't slide out.

Supplies and Tools
  • 3 colours of duct tape
  • scissors
  • 1 elastic band
  • clear tape (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Cut 3 pieces of tape about 24cm long each.

Step 10

Add on any fine details you wish and do any necessary trimming.

Step 2

Overlap the 3 strips of tape over eachother to create a long piece.

Step 3

Fold the sticky sides halfway onto itself

Step 4

Fold the new strip widthwise onto itself so it looks like the picture.

Step 5

Cut 2 more pieces of duct tape about 12cm long each.

Step 6

Fold one of those pieces over the edges of your long strip to close in the edges of your pouch. This creates a sort of pocket.

Step 7

Cut 4 strips of tape the same width as your pouch(this will be the flap) and make a strip of tape the same way you did in step 2. Leave one of the sticky ends alone, though.

Step 8

Tape the flap strip to the pouch using the sticky side you left alone. It should be long enough to fold over the other side of the pouch.

Step 9

Take an elastic band and tape it to the inside of the flap.
