Duct Tape Squid Hat
Ducktivity provided by MallardTape
I'm sure "duct tape", "squid". and "hat" are three words you never thought you'd hear together. This hat took me a few hours to make, but it was definitely worth it. Some people may find it difficult to make, so it isn't recommended for beginners. This project is more on the border between medium and hard difficulty. The long tentacles double as straps that fasten under your chin to keep the hat from falling off. It's really quite cool.

Directions
Step 1
Get a large cereal box and cut it so that it unfolds into a large rectangular shape. Cut off all extra flaps. This should leave you with a large rectangle with straight edges.
Step 2
Cut the cardboard into a large half-circle shape, making sure that it is as large as possible. Fold the half-circle into a cone and use duct tape to keep it in place. Make sure it fits on your head.
Step 3
Cover the cone with the duct tape color of your choice and cut off all excess duct tape. Make duct tape sheets by taping the sticky sides of pieces of duct tape together and then taping those pieces together. Cut out the flappy swimmer things and tentacles from the duct tape sheets and tape them onto the cone where you want them.
Step 4
Add details, such as spots, eyes, and other colors. Tape on long tentacles. Hooray, you're done!

That is so cute. My best friend has a chicken hat thats really cute, but I think this is so much cooler. PS:It would be so cute for the BEACH. (:
