How to Make a Duct Tape Megaphone

Create a megaphone with your favorite team colors or use College Duck Tape® to show your school spirit.

Supplies and Tools
  • • Duck® brand duct tape (any team colors
  • College Duck Tape®),• Scissors,• Poster board (any color)
  • • Duck® brand duct tape (any team colors
  • College Duck Tape®),• Scissors,• Poster board (any color)

Directions

Step 1

First, shape your poster board into a cone shape (for this example we used red poster board, but you can use any color). Cut the top and bottom at an even angle so that the edges are level. Tape the exposed ends of the poster board so that it holds its cone shape.

Step 2

Cover the entire cone in duct tape.

Step 3

Decorate your megaphone by applying College Duck Tape® or other duct tape designs around the edges.

i in particular think its very amateur,plus i cant find college duck tape anywhere. But if you go to alot to sporting events its pretty cool:)

If you wanted to make the whole megaphone out of duck tape you could try making a giant folder or something like that and then just fold it and cut it then decorate it. I think it might work.

you have to start with poster board?!?thy should tell us how to make them with just tape!;-)

Sounds awesome! I just wasted 1 of my 3 school colors on a wallet that I messed up on! UGH! Next time I go out, I'll buy tons of duct tape. Right now I only have like 7 rolls :(

Really all youneed is some pattern duct tape, which you can find at JoAnn's in Piqua.

I make all of my duck tape crafts out of 1OO% duck tape so for me not a good craft but it is cool

All my duct tape crafts are completely duct tape, but i don't really like this beacause this is not a duct tape megaphone, its a poster board megaphone.

why would anyone need a megaphone?

It's not a duct tape megaphone. It is a piece of cardboard covered in duct tape. the title should be "how to decorate a card board megaphone with duct tape"

It's Awesome! It's what u call a hybrid product, which is a product using another item besides duct tape! If it was all duct tape, it would be really flimsy.

I love this idea!!!!! It is LOUD and so when we are working on something during soccer coach can yell through it and we will here him and when we are subing in at games we can actually hear each other!!! :)

For all of those people that don't like it because its not 100% duct tape-- Do you think the megaphone will make any sound without the poster board?

This is a really good idea! Although many people are complaining about how it is not made out of cut tape, there is a way. If you watch the video on how to make a duct tape wallet, in the beginning it tells you to make a sheet out of duct tape. You can make a few of these sheets and replace the poster board with them. I think they also sell duct tape sheets here on the Duck Tape website.

This is prety cool,but It would be cooler if it was just made out of Ducktape,because now if we want to make it then we will have to go to the store a get poster board..or what ever that was:) lol any way please make one just with all Ducktape and nothing else..Thanks~Ducktapelover/em54539

its really cool but its not fully made out of duct tape is really cool and im going to make 1 but u could also make 1 out of full duct tape just make a sheet so that it is like the poster board out of ur favorite color then fold it like u did with the poster board then duct tape the rest how u want it would take a little longer but its fully duct tape :D
