To get started, draw or print out a shamrock template to create two shamrocks of the same size to create the piñata base. Then, cut out a flap onto one of the shamrocks for the candy to go into and tape the two shamrocks together with Light Green Duck Masking® Tape.
Next, create the decorative Duck Tape®fringe for the piñata by cutting a strip of Duck Tape fabric in half. Then, cut the half of the fabric strip about 2/3 of the way down at about ¼ inch apart.
To attach the Duck Tape fringe, start at the bottom of the piñata and apply the first layer of fringe to the piñata base with duct tape and continue to work your way up the piñata by overlapping the fringe to ensure the piñata is fully covered.
After covering the piñata with the Duck Tape fringe, trim the corners of the piñata to reveal the shamrock shape.
To wrap up, fill the piñata with your favorite sweet treats and hang for all to enjoy!
