For this project you’ll need: a drill, hacksaw, screw driver and tape measure.
- Measure the width of your door with a tape measure. If your door is less than 36 inches wide, cut the door shoe to size with a hack saw.
- Then, slide the door shoe under the door, with the rain drip facing outside. If needed, remove the door and trim the bottom a 1/2 inch above the threshold.
- Next, drill 1/8 inch holes in the door at the bottom of the screw slots. Screw the door shoe in place with the screws provided.
- Finally, check to make sure there are no gaps between the door shoes and door threshold.
